My name is Álvaro Figueiredo. I’m a Graphic Designer and Desktop Publisher for multilingual documents. I’m originally from Leiria, Portugal, and I’ve been based in Prague for the past several years. I completed a bologna degree in Graphic Design at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Lisbon (FBAUL) in 2012.

Recreating PDF documents in InDesign has become my expertise. This includes brochures, manuals, marketing materials, UI presentations, product packaging and others. Often clients lose track or cannot find their editable source files and that is where I came in handy. This process requires attention to detail, consistency, and a strong understanding of typography and how digital fonts are used, layout systems, and visual structure. I’ve developed methods for identifying layout patterns, recognizing font families, rebuilding baseline grids, and restoring interactive features such as automatic tables of contents and clickable navigation.

Over the last decade, I’ve handled thousands of multilingual projects involving complex formatting rules, character encodings, and language‑specific typographic challenges.
Some of the clients I have provided Desktop Publishing for include: FedEx, Liebherr, Viega, Multiquip, ESA, Nokia, Navien and many others.

My work has also included supporting colleagues, training new team members, and clarifying technical processes for sales teams to ensure accurate communication with clients. These experiences strengthened my ability to collaborate, adapt, and maintain quality under tight deadlines.
